Keep the NYS-Mandated Paid Voting Leave Poster Up Year-Round in Business and at Work

Section § 3-110 of New York state Election Law (yes, it’s confusing – it’s Election Law, not Labor Law) requires all NYS employers of any size to:

  • Post this notice (also available at this link) 10 working days before Election Day:

  • And provide 3 hours of paid voting leave (as of April 2019) at the beginning or end of an employee’s shift.

Rather than marking your calendar to post the above notice 10 working days before each election, it’s fine to leave it up with the rest of the employer-required labor postings year-round for employees.

Do you keep the NYS-mandated employee Voting Leave Notice year-round, in business and at work?
